Stratech Scientific is an official distributor of the Softbox packaging system Silverbox™. This recyclable packaging system is design to provide an enhanced temperature controlled environment ideal for shipping of products from small laboratories in the biotech and pharmaceuticals industries.

Today this packaging is used in more than 50 countries worldwide, by customers who require cost effective cold chain distribution solutions.

A key advantage of this system is its ability to maintain the required temperature over a long period of time typically for around 48 hours and longer depending on the box and shipping temperature (see temperature charts). This is achieved by the products environmentally friendly Low Density Polyethylene (LDPE) Silver insulation foam packaging; LDPE being one of the easiest and most commonly recycled plastics in the world.

The Silverbox™ range of pre qualified biotech shippers can be supplied ready kitted or flat packed and include outer cardboard carton, LDPE Silver foam insulation, refrigerant ice packs, spacers and product cartons.
